How will my monthly donation help?
£6per month, could fund the equipment and resources needed for one day of a dementia researcher’s vital investigations, helping to improve diagnosis, care and treatment for people affected by the condition.
£8per month could help us fund ‘companion calls’, where teams of volunteers will proactively telephone people affected by dementia to chat, check on their well-being, and refer them to other services like our Dementia Connect Support Line.
£10per month could go towards supporting people affected by dementia to access the help and advice they need through our Dementia Connect support line. During the current coronavirus pandemic, telephone-based services are more important than ever.
88 pence in every £1 of total expenditure was spent on direct costs towards improving the lives of people with dementia.
The remaining 12 pence in every £1 was spent to support our frontline activity including IT and premises.
Why I support Alzheimer's Society
When dementia took my mum and dad, I made a pledge to help create a dementia-free future for my grandchildren. That’s why I’m asking you to make a gift. No matter what size, it has the potential to assist in finding a cure for dementia. What a truly wonderful thought that is.- Sir Tony Robinson
